Holiday Music, Shared Moments: Celebrating the Season in Halifax and Bedford

This December, the halls of Northwood were filled with the sounds, spirit, and joy of the season. Our annual holiday concerts—held at both the Halifax and Bedford campuses—brought residents, families, staff, and community partners together for evenings of music, connection, and heartfelt celebration.

A Magical Night in Halifax

At our Halifax campus, residents were treated to A Mike Cowie Christmas with Liz Rigney—a lively and heart-warming concert featuring favourite holiday classics performed with talent, humour, and festive charm.

As part of Northwood’s 6th Annual Holiday Concert, the show was presented by Eastlink, whose generous support helped bring the evening to life. The room glowed with smiles, applause, and sing-along moments as the music sparked memories and lifted spirits.

A Heartfelt Celebration in Bedford

The holiday magic continued at our Bedford campus, where Mike Cowie and Liz Rigney joined us once again—bringing the same joyful energy, warmth, and musical talent that residents had enjoyed in Halifax. Their performance filled the room with timeless holiday melodies and created an atmosphere that was both lively and comforting.

Residents, families, and staff shared in moments of laughter, nostalgia, and connection. Whether it was a familiar carol or Mike's spirited trumpet flourishes, the music brought everyone together in celebration.
