Dementia Village Experts Presenting at Northwood in May

World renowned experts Eloy Van Hal and Janette Spiering from the Hogeweyk Dementia Village in the Netherlands join us in the Northwood Activity Centre to present their pioneering approach to dementia care.  

Northwood partnered with them over the past year to learn more about the group's innovative treatment and ongoing study of persons with dementia. As the contract comes to a close, we were thrilled to discover that Eloy and Janette were coming through Canada and willing to make a presentation at Northwood's Halifax Campus on May 9th.

The Hogeweyk paved the way for a new way of de-institutionalized care in The Netherlands and has become a great inspiration for others in world who are looking for humanizing care for the growing numbers diagnosed with dementia. Years of experience and gained knowledge results in a clear vision on the future of dementia care.
