We’re excited to see the CBC spotlight on a deeply important story: “Meetups bring some of Halifax’s Deaf community back together”.
These revived gatherings are reconnecting people, restoring relationships, and helping to ease isolation — a powerful reminder of how meaningful community is.
At Northwood, our work with the Nova Scotia Senior’s Deaf Community is grounded in that same spirit of connection. Whether through social meetups, communication supports, or inclusive programming, we are committed to strengthening ties and building belonging for the Deaf and hard-of-hearing community.
