Surrya Anjum Appointed Senior Director, HR

Northwood Care, the largest continuing care organization in Atlantic Canada, is pleased to announce the appointment of Surrya Anjum as the new Senior Director, People Services, effective immediately. Surrya brings a wealth of experience in human resources and employment strategy, right as Northwood is poised to drive growth and continued excellence in healthcare.


Surrya joined Northwood in 2020 with over 20 years of experience in human resources and healthcare. Holding key positions in the UK’s National Health Service, she has demonstrated robust leadership, negotiation acumen, and a strategic mindset that aligns with the goals of Northwood.


Previously, Surrya served as Associate Director, People Services, where she successfully led multiple, multi-stakeholder contract negotiation. Her initiatives significantly enhanced operational efficiency, resulting in improved employee recruiting and retention, culminating in Northwood being recognized as a Nova Scotia Top Employer for the tenth year in a row.
